Hell everyone!
Welcome to my Day 2 recap of the Experimental Biology 2015 conference!
Today I decided to go for a little more dressy, I recently bought this dressy midi skirt, a la Kim Kardashian (or so it reminded me of her), so I wanted to wear it out. This morning I changed outfits maybe 5 times before I decided on this combination.
I bought this dress skirt last minute at Ross, by Eci New York. It was the perfect size and super flattering. It wasn't tight or too fitted, I could easily move in it as it was made with stretchy fabric. I also wore a coral blouse top with a jeweled neckline I bought at Charlotte Russe. It was perfect because I didn't have to wear a necklace or jewelry after!
Since this is Boston in March, I had to make sure I wore a cover up. I originally was going to walk out of my hotel room without a jacket since it was super sunny outside, but then I realized this wasn't LA. And boy, was I right. IT. WAS. SO. COLD.
Since I grew up in Massachusetts, I didn't think the cold would be such a big deal. But it was, when I wanted to wear something cute like this outfit. The leather jacket that I love (from Express) was definitely not warm enough, because I was FROZEN wearing it. Do not be fooled, I look happy in these photos but I was freezing! Tomorrow I will be better prepared, with a more warm jacket and pants most likely!

Valentine's Day Outfit - Bring back body-con
Hello loves!
With Valentine's day in a few days, I thought to show you all what I'm wearing this Valentine's day! I have plans with the boyfriend for a quiet night in (which includes cooking dinner), but that doesn't mean I can't dress for the occasion!
I have recently been wearing flow-y dresses, but back in my early 20s I was a huge fan of the body-con dress! I have since gotten a little more conscious of my body when wearing a tight fitting dress, but I thought why not. After cleaning my room this weekend and finally putting away all my clothes, I rediscovered an old favorite, this black textured body-con style dress from TopShop, that I bought in London back in 2010! Since I went with a black dress, I decided to accessorize with some pops of color, red, gold, and white! I used a red bow clutch I bought last year from The Limited, a white drop statement necklace from Charlotte Russe, a pink/rose gold cocktail ring from the Ona Chan Collection from Boyajian Trend Gallery, and some black and gold bracelets. I also used a red lipstick from Rimmel London. which I have been itching to wear! For shoes, I decided to wear my red strappy heels, I don't remember where I got them from, but they were perfect for this outfit!
This outfit was the perfect combination of romantic and also a little sexy. Paired with big curls (which lasted for hours by the way, uncommon for my hair!), a smile, and a relaxing night, makes for the perfect Valentine's day!

Dark Lipstick - Urban Decay Venom
Hello!!
So I finally caved and ordered another Urban Decay Revolution lipstick that I had been eyeing for a while now, in shade "Venom."
I fell in love with it when I saw a swatch of it on another fashion blog (I can't remember which one! ah!). Sephora had a 15% off sale for Beauty Insiders so I found it as the perfect excuse/opportunity to finally buy it!
It arrived last night along with my DiorShow Blackout Mascara that I had ordered since I was running out of my daily use one. I also received some samples, but they aren't as exciting as this lipstick!
All of my makeup came in this huge box that was filled with filling paper and then my makeup was just sitting at the bottom of it -- what a waste of resources Sephora! I am disappointed! But oh well.
To be honest I was a little self conscious to wear such a dark shade to work -- but I wore it anyway because I was so excited and I think it looks good on me? What do you think?
I managed to wear a cute dress that I got in Cyprus years ago, it has some dark fuchsia shades in the flower print, so it matches perfectly! I also wore some leggings and little gray booties. Cute outfit for a Wednesday! Especially since I will be sitting at my desk and at meetings all day!

Sephora purchases - Urban Decay!
AH so I FINALLY bought a lipstick from Urban Decay! I am in love with the color! I got "Turn On" and it is perfect! I thought it would be too nude/bland pink but it is a really good shade! I wore it to work and got some nice comments!
I also bought a bigger tube of the primer potion! It really does work! I put some on this morning and did my makeup with the Naked3 Palette and my makeup lasted the entire day! I even played soccer tonight and then lifted at the gym, and I was shocked to see my makeup still in place after a long day!
Today I also tried the Make Up Forever mini lipstick, and I am in love with the shade. I'll post a picture later but its not too far off from my regular lip color but it still has a small shading which makes it perfect for an every day lipstick! I am thinking of buying the full size if its not too expensive! :D
What do you think of these products?

Urban Decay Friends and Fanatics Event!
Hello readers! Sorry for the lack of posts! I have been crazy busy with grad school and work, I have been going insane with experiments and presentations. But I have still been on the lookout for new makeup and deals. I went out last night for a friend's birthday to a club in West Hollywood, it was really fun and I needed a night out! I did my eye makeup using the Naked3.
I have recently come to LOVE Urban Decay Makeup. I am in love with the Naked3 palette, and in one of my past Ipsy Glambags (I still have to review January's bag, oops! post soon!), I got a sample of the UD Revolution lipstick in Anarchy. You might remember my review and how I fell in love with it! It is so creamy and moisturizing, and the color is so bright and lovely!! I have been looking for an excuse to buy these lipsticks, and at $22, it is a little steep, but I think it is well worth the price!
and Lo and behold, UD is having a sale! AND there is early access to the sale, where you can get 20% off any makeup (excluding the Naked3) by using the code "FFSPRING14," from now until Valentines day!!
I'm really trying to decide if I should just buy these from the Urban Decay website or Sephora.... hmmm.... which would you order from? There's no 20% off on Sephora but you can get a lot more free goodies and I would get my Birthday gift (My Birthday is coming up at the end of the month!!) and Beauty Insider points.... decisions decisions.... what would you do??

Halloween and lipstick!
I've been a big fan of lipstick lately! I've been wearing it to Lab and I love it. I bought this new Rimmel London Kate lipstick in number 12. It is reddish coral and really nice! It is matte though, so not glossy. For this look I used black eyeliner on the water line, maybelline stiletto liquid liner on the top, and Dior Show Blackout mascara. For eyeshadow I used an old maybelline sunset bronze pallet, and I sweeped the gold across my lid. Nice casual look for work!

Bright lipstick!
So I've been pretty bored with my daily make up routine, and seeing as how I've been spending a lot of my time in the lab, I haven't really cared about my face that much... But that will change now! I have been breaking out a lot so I need to start washing my face better and taking better care of it!
And ever since I experimented with the blending of lipsticks in one of my last posts, I decided to try this new bright lipstick sample I received from Ipsy in one of my previous glambags!
I am in LOVE with this lipstick. It is so bright, creamy, smooth and moisturizing! It also lasted the entire day! I love the pigment. It also hydrated and smoothed my lips, making them look more plump and healthy! I love it!
It is from Urban Decay, Revolution lipstick in a shade called "Anarchy." I am in love.
The full size lipsticks from Urban Decay are about 22 dollars, which is a little steep for a lipstick, but I would be willing to pay extra for the quality and richness of the color! This lipstick also comes in a variety of shades, so check it out! I am going to check out a more demure shade that I can wear daily, but I also want to buy the full size of Anarchy for when I am feeling bold!
Ps. I apologize for the closeups of my face. I'll try to get better quality pictures for my next posts!

Ipsy makeup!
So I got my Ipsy Glambag for September. I decided to try a couple of the products. First, I used their liquid liner, by Jesse's Girl, it has a nice tip that can be used to make a really thin line or very thick if you apply more pressure. I like it! I might consider buying it when my actual eyeliner is used up! I always make mistakes and end up with a really thick black line and have to remove it to make it look better...
